FIXED INCOME INVESTMENT

Government Paper Barita sells direct investments in Government of Jamaica securities such as Local Registered Stocks (LRS) Treasury Bills or Bank of Jamaica REPO.

We also sell short-term REPOS of all these instruments from overnight call to 365-day term.

These instruments all have fixed rate of interest for the period negotiated and interest is either paid out to you as requested or rolled-over into the principal as pre-arranged.

Instructions can be fixed into your account and changed whenever you desire. Sometimes we will require this in writing.

Interest is paid on the date of maturity of each instrument and is subject to income tax. Pensioners with the necessary tax certificates will need to make special arrangements with us.
